CHANGE MANAGEMENT: THE SCIENCE AND ART

From change announced to change adopted

We work from one conviction: when experienced people push back on a new system, process or operating model, they usually know something. Treating objections as design feedback turns the people side of change into an execution discipline. Our offering spans a continuum, from executing a single transformation to an organization that is adaptable by design.

Strategy and systems set the potential; behavior determines the outcome. Value is released after go-live, through thousands of daily decisions by people who were not in the room when it was designed. That is why a program can land on time, on budget and on scope and still not move the number it was built to move.

We sort every objection by type. A claim about what will break we test; if the design is the problem, the finding goes to the design owner as a deliverable. A skill gap we close in the work itself. A trade-off, where someone must lose something, goes to the sponsor with options, costs and a recommendation.

Judgment matters as much as method: through dilemma-based facilitation, clients generate their own principles and so own the design.

Change is no longer a program with a start and an end. We work from one transformation to the leadership, capability and infrastructure that keep you adaptable.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

YOUR KEY CHALLENGES

  • “Everyone is using AI, just not the tools we bought.”
Real adoption is happening, just on tools IT never approved and can’t track. The rollout isn’t failing, it’s invisible.
  • “Two years post-merger, still two companies.”
Structural integration finished; behavioral integration never started. The org chart isn’t the operating model.
  • “Our leaders say the right things and behave differently.”
Sponsorship exists as a role, not as behavior. The words changed before the decisions did.
  • “The HR system is live and managers still email HR.”
The rollout succeeded; the workflow didn’t move. Usually a design-versus-habit gap, not a training gap.
  • “Twenty pilots and nothing in the P&L.”
A lot of different activities without a traceable outcome. Investment was made, success was claimed but ROI was not clear or measured.
  • “Six initiatives in two years, none of them stuck.”
A capability, not a campaign, problem. Communications were sound but no real solution in the hands of those impacted.

THE RESULT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • A tested diagnosis, not an assumed one.
Before anyone commissions another communication campaign or training module, we establish what is actually blocking the behaviour — and say so, including when the answer is that the design is wrong.
  • Adoption measured as new behaviour, not a sentiment score.
Every intervention runs to a chain you can check: the manager who now raises the request himself, the cycle time that drops as a result, the service-centre cost line that follows. If an intervention cannot be traced that far, we do not run it.
  • Capability embedded in your team or organisation.
We agree at kick-off who takes each piece and when we stop, and we write it into the scope of work. The next wave is run by your people, with us available and not involved.

"The decision to change is made once, at the top. The decision to work differently is made every morning, by everyone — and it is made again the moment the programme stops watching.”

OUR OFFERING

  • Change Strategy & Execution: Transformation delivery, from design stress-test to adoption — we find what’s genuinely breaking, test the fix, and ground the benefit case in something real.
  • Transformation Leadership: Coaching for leaders driving transformation. We turn sponsorship into observable behaviors and build alignment that survives the first hard decision.
  • Capability Building: Change skills for HR and the business; from leadership sessions to full change academies — built to a defined standard and handed to named owners.
  • Change Management Office: The standing infrastructure for absorbing change; portfolio view, governance and decision rights, and a decision gate that can actually say stop.
